    Description

Everyone deserves a home. UCEF provides emergency rental and utility assistance to help people in Northeast Seattle stay in their homes. We catch people in crisis and help cover them financially when their own emergency funds are insufficient or have been exhausted. Our services are not based on any particular religion or religious purpose, just compassionate listening and a willingness to help.

UCEF is seeking candidates to expand its board of directors. We are looking for board members who are passionate about our mission, and who will advise UCEF on how to respond to future needs. We are particularly interested in board members who have experience with website management.

We value a diversity of opinions, backgrounds, and expertise, and encourage people to volunteer on our board who represent the diverse elements of the community we serve. No prior board experience is necessary, and there is no financial contribution requirement.

The board meets virtually every month (except August and December) via Zoom, typically on the second Tuesday from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
