    Description

    MBC Workforce Intern

    Responsibilities

      • Assist the Employment Specialist with outreach to employers and maintaining employment partnerships.
      • Create and update job leads lists to support participant job searches.
      • Compile employer leads and assists with the coordination of hiring and outreach events.
      • Attend hiring events and career fairs as needed to support logistics and participant engagement.
      • Accurately enter and manage participant data in CTA (Career Training Account) profiles and tracking systems.
      • Organize and distribute uniforms and job-related supplies.
      • Communicate program updates and distribute materials when the Employment Specialist is unavailable.
      • Assist in planning and facilitating monthly Career Café events featuring employer engagement and workforce development resources.
      • Support Road to Success (RTS) programming through mock interviews, job readiness exercises, and orientation activities.
      • Help with the onboarding of RTS, Culinary, and Construction cohorts.
      • Schedule appointments and provide one-on-one support with resumes, job applications, and interview preparation.
