Africa Youth Rising is looking for an experienced nonprofit accountant to help us grow our impact.

As the Executive Director I wear so many hats and my attention is pulled in a dozen different directions— like fundraising, communications, team management, staffing and so much more. I just don’t have the expertise and experience necessary to keep on top of the growing demand for financial reporting. I want to spend more time developing our programs and interacting with our donors and less time struggling with the complexities of nonprofit bookkeeping.

As a nonprofit organization with less than $100K in revenue we are subject to the exact same laws and regulations as $10M nonprofits, but with way less capital to meet those requirements and so we need your help.

We are looking for an accountant with nonprofit experience who is willing to volunteer a little bit of their time and a whole lot of their expertise. There is little time commitment required, no data entry or menial tasks are required, but your vast knowledge of creating useful systems is a must.

Requirements:

• Experience in US nonprofit accounting
• Knowledge of dual currency accounting
• Knowledge and ability to complete IRS 990
• Desire to use your talents to impact the world
