Su Casa Health Day - Event Support

Su Casa Hispanic Center, a program of Catholic Charities Southwestern Ohio, is hosting a Community Health Day at St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church. Families will have access to free basic health services, vision screenings, health education, food distribution, household care packages, and connections to community resources.

Date: Saturday, September 26, 2026

Location: St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, 5560 Kirby Avenue, Cincinnati 45239

Time: 12:00pm – 3:30pm

Event Support - 5 volunteers needed

Event support volunteers will help families navigate the event, support distribution activities, maintain an organized space, and assist with cleanup.

Flow Coordinators

• Welcome and assist families as they navigate the event.
• Help direct visitors between registration, health services, food distribution, household care packages, and community resource stations.
• Maintain an orderly flow and assist families in finding their next destination.

Food & Household Care Package Team

• Organize and distribute food and household care packages.
• Replenish supplies throughout the event.
• Assist families with items when appropriate.
• Support Su Casa staff with distribution logistics and maintain a clean, organized area.

Event Cleanup (Approx. 3:00 PM – 3:30 PM)

• Break down stations and collect materials.
• Consolidate remaining supplies.
• Dispose of trash and recycling.
• Wipe tables and help return the space to its original condition

Interpreters & Registration - 8 volunteers needed

Your language skills can make a meaningful difference by helping families feel welcomed, informed, and connected to the services they need.

Bilingual Interpreters

• Must be fluent in Spanish and English
• Assist Spanish-speaking families and health/community service providers with effective communication.
• Support conversations related to health screenings, health education, referrals, and community services.
• Help ensure families understand available resources and services.

Registration Support

• Must be fluent in Spanish and English
• Welcome families and assist with event check-in and registration.
• Answer basic questions in Spanish and English.
• Provide event information and direct participants to the appropriate services.
• Help create a welcoming and positive experience for all attendees.

Your ability to communicate in both Spanish and English will help remove language barriers and ensure families can fully access the health services and community resources available at this event. This is a rewarding opportunity to use your skills to make a direct impact in the lives of local Hispanic families.
