Do you enjoy meeting people, sharing ideas, and helping others discover new opportunities? Join our team and help make our community makerspace a welcoming place for exploration and creativity.
What You'll Do
- Welcome visitors and community members during open hours.
- Provide tours and introduce guests to makerspace equipment and activities.
- Share information about memberships, programs, workshops, and events.
- Connect members with mentors and learning opportunities.
- Encourage participation and collaboration among community members.
- Support a safe, organized, and welcoming environment.
What We're Looking For
- Friendly, approachable personality.
- Strong communication and people skills.
- Interest in technology, education, or community engagement.
- Reliability and willingness to learn about our programs.
No advanced technical background is required. We'll help you become familiar with the makerspace.
Your Impact
Help people feel welcome, discover new interests, and connect with a community of makers and lifelong learners.
Commitment: Recurring volunteer shifts during makerspace open hours, with scheduling based on availability.
About Monumental Impact
Monumental Impact is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit community makerspace in Palmer Lake, Colorado, dedicated to hands-on learning in technology, engineering, and entrepreneurship.
Through access to equipment, workspace, mentorship, programs, and real-world projects, we bring together high school and college students, adults, and community members to explore new interests, develop skills, and turn ideas into reality.
Our organization is volunteer-led, and our volunteers play an essential role in creating meaningful learning experiences, supporting community connections, and helping Monumental Impact grow.

Take the 105 West / North exit from I25.
Head West / North on 105.
You will pass a Safeway on your right.
You will pass a parking lot and entrance to the Santa Fe Trail.
You will go under a railroad bridge.
We are located in the first commercial building on the left after you go under the railroad bridge.
How to Volunteer for This Opportunity
Background Check
To help maintain a safe, welcoming, and trusted environment, all volunteer roles at Monumental Impact require a background check.
As a nonprofit organization, volunteers age 21 and over are asked to cover the cost of their background check. Monumental Impact coordinates the process and provides instructions as part of onboarding when you are ready to come onboard.

You don't need to know all of our equipment before reaching out.
We'd like to have you visit our Palmer Lake makerspace, see the equipment and projects firsthand, meet some of our community, and talk about what you already know and what you might like to learn.
From there, we can determine whether you'd like to shadow during Open Hours, mentor in an area you already know, learn additional equipment, support projects—or some combination of all four.
