Description
Join MRCI’s Forest Conservation Program on the biodiverse island of Nosy Komba, Madagascar. Volunteers support long-term ecological research by monitoring endangered species, conducting biodiversity surveys, and mapping forest health.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting flora and fauna surveys
- Supporting lemur, bird, and reptile monitoring
- Participating in invasive species removal and trail maintenance
- Assisting with data collection and conservation outreach
Qualifications:
- Interest in ecology, environmental science, or conservation
- Basic physical fitness and ability to hike in tropical terrain
- Willingness to work in remote conditions with a team
This is a unique opportunity to gain field research experience while contributing to the protection of Madagascar’s rare and endemic species.
