    Description

Books of Joy has been running its educational support programs primarily in Nepal. As the organization is based in Redmond, WA, we get a lot of requests for donating physical goods (books, school supplies, etc.), however, due to high shipping costs to Nepal, we have to decline the donations. These can be put to good use if we have local communities in Seattle area we can support.

This volunteer role is focused on researching local schools & communities in King County WA, and identifying communities/organizations that need help in education related areas. Connect and build relationship with them and identify opportunities to support them.

Volunteering will be done online/virtual. However, preferred location is in the Greater Seattle area, so there will be opportunities to visit the local communities/organizations in person, if needed.

If you're interested in volunteering, please share your interest and send your resume to volunteer@booksofjoy.org.

    Thank you!
