Description
Carpe Librum is a used bookstore benefiting Turning the Page, an education nonprofit dedicated to developing literacy programs for elementary and middle school students in Wards 7 and 8. We will be popping up for a larger learning festival with a book sale fundraiser in Lincoln Park on Saturday, May 30. We will need volunteers to help us set up in the morning and box up in the afternoon. This is a great opportunity to spend an hour or two supporting literacy and positive educational outcomes in the DC public school students.
Can you lend a hand?
The first shift is from 8 am-9 am, helping to set up tables and shelve books by genre.
The second shift is from 4:30 pm-6:00 pm, helping to pack up books.
