    Description

    Volunteer Fundraising and Development Partners

    Volunteer Fundraising and Development Partners

CollabED is seeking Volunteer Fundraising and Development Partners to support the growth and sustainability of our educator-led nonprofit community. These roles are intentionally flexible and shaped around strengths, interests, and capacity.

We are looking for people who enjoy identifying opportunities, building relationships, and thinking creatively about how mission-driven work is funded. This is not a bookkeeping or compliance role. It is a people-forward, idea-driven partnership.

Partners may contribute through a variety of pathways, including:

    • Exploring, assessing, selecting, and preparing grant applications aligned with organizational readiness

All grant proposals must be reviewed and approved by the Director of Community Operations and Content and the Executive Director prior to submission.

    • Supporting person-to-person and community-based fundraising efforts
    • Identifying corporate, philanthropic, or partnership-based funding opportunities
    • Helping shape ethical, transparent fundraising strategies aligned with CollabED’s values

CollabED is an early-stage nonprofit. Some traditional fundraising pathways are intentionally phased due to New York State charitable registration timelines. We value partners who understand these realities and enjoy building within them.

This role may be a strong fit for someone who:

    • Enjoys initiative and autonomy
    • Is comfortable working across multiple funding approaches
    • Values ethical, relationship-based fundraising
    • Wants to contribute in a way that fits their capacity

These are volunteer roles with flexible expectations. Scope and focus are shaped collaboratively and may evolve over time.
