    Gain valuable hands-on experience in textile and fashion industry in Ghana with SMWEF.

    SMWEF Ghana internship program provides a unique hands-on experience with professional equipment and guidance from skilled local fashion design workers with years of experience and track records in textile industry in Ghana.

    This internship program is ideal for graduates, students, and aspiring fashion and design professionals. Ghana is well known for its vibrant fashion industry, with rich culture of manufacturing, exhibitions, and designing.

    This project focuses on empowering women and girls as well as men/boys through education, vocational skills training, entrepreneurship, and community leadership development. A core component of this project is vocational training in clothing making, tailoring, and fashion and design. Whether you are interested in tailoring, embroidery, or T-shirt printing, you’ll gain practical skills that prepare you for a successful career in fashion and designing.

    Interns will gain hands-on experience in fashion and design, fabric design, manufacturing, garment production, and show preparation providing practical skills for a successful career in the fashion industry in Ghana. SMWEF Ghana collaborates with design studio, fashion houses, boutiques, and factories to provide internships that offer professional training, mentorship, and real-world experience to our interns in Ghana. Fashion houses, design studios, factories, boutiques and companies benefit from hosting enthusiastic interns who bring creativity, technical skills, and fresh ideas to the design and production process.

    Whether you are a student, group, or graduate seeking experience in fashion and design, our fashion and design internship program offers the perfect opportunity to develop practical skills, build industry connections and contribute to Ghana’s thriving fashion culture.

    We have flexible start dates and duration for this program. Interns can choose to arrive anytime depending on their schedules and interests.

    How to Volunteer for This Opportunity

    Volunteers on this program must be 18 years and above on the program start date and duration.

    Volunteers on this program must be fluent in English to be able to communicate with the local people and must come along with bundle of energy.

    Volunteers on this program must have at least a high school educational background.

    No prior requirement is required for this program.

    Volunteers must be able to adapt to the environment and be flexible to learn and experience the culture in Ghana.
