Saturday, 8/8 - Paradise Valley Forest Stewardship

Join us as we remove invasive species from the Paradise Valley Conservation Area. Major blackberry brambles have already been removed and the forest is bouncing back, with many native species recolonizing our restoration sites. However, even with the efforts of many volunteers, there are always a few invasives that slip through the cracks. Help us catch them and start a new restoration site during this event!

Please wear long sleeves and long pants that you don't mind getting dirty, and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring a full water bottle and a snack. Hand tools and gloves will be provided, but you may bring your own if you wish. Remember to bring rain gear if rain is in the forecast.

There are several areas of Paradise Valley with root rot which affects the stability of the trees during high winds. This event will be rescheduled if wind gusts are expected to be 25 mph or above. If the event is canceled, registrants will receive an email in advance.
