    Role Summary

    We’re seeking Board Members who believe in community-driven leadership and want to help shape a forward-thinking nonprofit. Board Members provide strategic guidance, advocacy, and professional expertise to strengthen the organization’s programs and sustainability.

    This is a hands-on volunteer opportunity to influence growth, governance, and public impact at a pivotal stage in our development.

    Responsibilities

    • Participate in quarterly board meetings (virtual or in-person)
    • Provide input on strategic planning and governance
    • Support fundraising and partnership development
    • Advocate for The Lantern Vanguard within your network
    • Offer guidance in your area of expertise (finance, marketing, law, education, or technology)

    Qualifications

    • Commitment to social impact and equity
    • Background in nonprofit management, business, or community leadership preferred
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills
    • Availability for quarterly meetings and light engagement between sessions
