    Description

Looking for volunteers who play a "mobile" musical instrument (one they can walk around with) to perform for room-bound older adults in our nursing homes. You can provide your own playlist (3-6 songs) but songs should be appropriate for older adults (classical/jazz, showtunes, Jewish songs, 50s/60s music - no rock, pop, or rap/hip-hop please). No beginners please (4+ years of practice preferred)! You will be given a list of names/room numbers and/or TV rooms to go and play in based on your availability. Unlike a stage performance for bands/orchestras, this is geared to 1-2 musicians at a time visiting 1 resident at a time.

    Visit https://www.smithlifecommunities.org/giving/volunteer/ for more information.
