    Description

Full-Week MALE Cabin Counselors- Children's Cancer Camp

Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of children affected by cancer for one week this summer?

Camp No Worries (Tabernacle, NJ) is a volunteer-run one-week overnight camp for children (ages 6-16) diagnosed with cancer or supporting a sibling who has been affected. Camp is provided at no cost to their families, funded entirely through donations. Camp provides them an opportunity to participate in the traditional summer camp experience (swimming, boating, arts & crafts, archery, etc.) and a chance to "just be kids", separate from the focus on their diagnosis.

We’re in need of full-time MALE volunteers to join us in the role of cabin counselors to support male campers for this year’s Camp week (June 20 - June 27). No medical experience is required, as our on-site medical team of licensed doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals handle all facets of campers’ medical needs.

    Cabin Counselor responsibilities include:

    • Direct oversight of 4-6 male campers
    • Accompany campers in daily activities
    • Lead by example and encourage active participation

For more information, please visit www.campnoworries.org or contact volunteer@ campnoworries.org.

    Requirements:

    • 19 years of age or older by June 1
    • Criminal background clearance
    • Commitment for the full week of camp required.
    • Documented evidence of vaccination against the measles, mumps, and rubella vaccine (MMR); varicella (may be part of the MMRV); tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (DTaP and Tdap); and for medical providers hepatitis B.*
    • Candidates must also have a positive attitude, willingness to be fun/silly, and ability to provide oversight to youth in your care.

Apply today and join us for the best week of your year, helping to provide children facing cancer with a week of No Worries!
