Be a Companion - Hospice Volunteers Needed

Here at Uplift Hospice we believe that even in the end of our life journey, there is still quality of life. This extends not only to our patients but their families, caregivers and loved ones. As an Uplifter Volunteer you are a part of an amazing, dedicated team that helps provide care and comfort to our patients, their families, caregivers and loved ones.

Volunteer opportunities are varied and we realize it is not a "one size fits all" when it comes to volunteering. Visiting with patients can involve assisting with light duty cooking and cleaning, play cards, watching TV, conversation or simply being present. You can provide a moment for the caregiver to take care of tasks as you sit with their loved one.

If you feel that sitting with patients might be too much at first or you are uncertain, you can volunteer with us for activities! We believe in community and engage on a regular basis. We go to assisted living facilities, memory care & group homes. We provide a craft for each visit and most times, a snack or two! The residents and patients love our activities and everyone involved always has an enjoyable, memorable time!

Are you looking for more in office type duties? We can always use helpers around the office. From prepping for facilities to filing - there is always something to do!

Worried about too little time? My favorite saying it is takes many small granules of sand to make a big beach. Every granule counts! So whether you have a half an hour one week and 1 hour the next, we are a team and we make it work!
