Communications Volunteer

The American Red Cross is seeking a Communications Volunteer to support outreach and storytelling efforts in Imperial County. This role helps amplify the Red Cross mission by capturing and sharing impactful stories, visuals, and media content that highlight our humanitarian work in the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture and curate photography at events, trainings, and community activities
• Assist with storytelling and content creation (short articles, captions, social posts)
• Support media relations efforts, including local outreach and coverage
• Help ensure Red Cross messaging is clear, accurate, and aligned with brand guidelines
• Collaborate with staff and volunteers to highlight community impact

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience or interest in Photography, Journalism, Communications, or Media Relations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
