Remote Volunteer Video Editor — Nonprofit Youth Storytelling

Help Believe in Me turn authentic stories into compelling videos that inspire volunteers, donors, scholars, and community partners.

We are seeking a volunteer Video Editor to produce polished digital content about scholarships, mentoring, education, community partnerships, and programs serving underserved youth and young people. You will collaborate remotely with our marketing team, producers, writers, animators, and program leaders.

Responsibilities:

• Edit interviews, event footage, testimonials, educational content, and social videos
• Shape clear stories using pacing, music, graphics, captions, and brand standards
• Create platform-ready versions for YouTube, websites, presentations, email, and social media
• Organize footage, project files, review links, and final exports
• Apply color correction, audio cleanup, transitions, and basic motion graphics
• Add accurate captions, transcripts, and accessible visual treatments
• Incorporate feedback and meet agreed production deadlines
• Protect participant dignity, privacy, and approved photo-release requirements

Qualifications:

• Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or comparable tools
• Strong visual storytelling, editing, sound, and file-management skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate through structured review cycles
• Reliable computer, internet access, and editing software
• Motion graphics, animation, color, audio, or nonprofit storytelling experience is a plus

This remote, recurring opportunity is flexible, generally up to 10 hours per month, with project-based deadlines. Volunteers may participate from anywhere. Your work will help more people discover and support opportunities for underserved youth.
