    Description

    Spanish-Speaking Wish Celebration Volunteer

Make-A-Wish Illinois currently has Spanish-speaking children in the Chicagoland who have been diagnosed with a critical illness and are waiting for their wish to be granted. This means we have an urgent need for bilingual Wish Celebration Volunteers to bring joy to our wish kids TODAY!

Wish Celebration Volunteers work in pairs, partnering to establish a meaningful connection with our wish children and families to build hope and anticipation leading up to the wish.

The average assignment requires 1-2 hours each month, over the course of 1-6 months. Time investment typically includes coordinating with and getting to know the wish child and family, coordinating with your volunteer partner, and planning/carrying out boosts, send-offs, countdowns, and celebrations.

Help us make sure our Spanish-speaking wish families have volunteers who can connect with them in the language they’re most comfortable using. Join us in creating hope, joy, and magical moments!
