    Deputy Chief Program Manager

    About the Role

    Project 2029 is looking for a passionate volunteer to support program execution and coordination across teams.

    Join us in our mission to create a more perfect union and a democracy that truly puts the people first.

    Responsibilities

    • Support the Chief Program Manager in overseeing initiatives.
    • Track timelines, deliverables, and team progress.
    • Assist in maintaining program systems and workflows
    • Ensure communication and alignment across teams
    • Identify risks and help resolve issues.
    • Step in to lead programs when needed.

Our mission is to establish a democracy where freedom, opportunity, and security are available to all, where equality is paramount, where government corruption is exposed, and where laws are made with the people’s best interests in mind.

    We focus on developing actionable policies that foster a flourishing, transparent, and accountable government. We aim to identify and empower new leaders at both the state and federal levels who are committed to integrity, justice, and real change. Our work is centered on rewriting the rules of governance to build a movement for democracy that honors justice and serves future generations.

    Who We’re Looking For

    We are seeking a detail-oriented, collaborative individual who thrives in fast-paced environments and supports strong execution.

    Qualifications

    • Experience in program coordination or management
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities

    Preferred Qualifications

    Experience with program tools (Google Workspace, etc.)

    Interest in Agile methodologies

    Experience in nonprofit or advocacy work

    Flexible time commitment;
