    Description

For 15 years, The Honeycomb Project has reimagined youth volunteerism by empowering children ages 3–17 to play an active role in shaping their communities. Through family-centered programs, we engage kids and their parents in meaningful volunteer opportunities that address pressing issues—from food insecurity to climate action—while providing critical resources and support to local nonprofit partners.

Now, we’re bringing this model to the greater Washington, DC area and inviting families to join the movement.

    Featured Project:

Roll up your sleeves! Join us at The Well at Oxon Run to help revive and maintain this community garden that provides fresh vegetables for the community to promote wellness and healthy living. Learn how The Well builds community and supports wellness through food.

This garden supplies fresh produce and green space to the neighborhood, fostering community connections and healthy eating. Your work at this project will help kickstart the garden's harvest and provide a healthy space for the community to explore, grow, and connect. Our tasks change seasonally, but often include planting, weeding, harvesting food, and other garden maintenance.
