    Description

Help Keep Oakland's Main Library Clean and Welcoming

Oakland's Main Library is a busy and popular destination, but it has a serious litter problem!

A team of individual volunteers split up the days to provide clean-up service daily -- usually before the library opens at 10:00 a.m. -- to make a clean and welcoming environment for visitors and neighbors.

There are current openings for new volunteers on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings. A typical shift lasts 45-60 minutes, and requires lifting and carrying a bag of trash up to 30 lbs.

Supplies and orientation are provided. After training, you'll work independently but will have a small team of library staff to contact for support when needed.

This job is dirty, but it makes a big and positive impact!
