    Description

Become a Hero in Action! Save lives, one blood drive at a time! - Clay County, IA

Donor Ambassadors are needed to support both mobile blood drives (which are hosted at community or sponsor sites) and fixed sites (Red Cross blood donation centers).

During a shift, Donor Ambassadors will:

    • Welcome donors with a smile, explain the donation process, and help with check-in.
    • Guide donors smoothly through the Check-In process.
    • Provide great customer service by answering questions and making the donation experience positive.
    • Share the Red Cross story and our mission.
    • Work with the team to match donors' blood types with the best products.
    • Ensure donors have their post-donation information and check check their recovery time.
    • Say thank you to each donor contribution.
    • Reach out to donors with friendly reminder calls and help reschedule appointments as needed to keep our community connected and engaged.
    • Report any issues to the collections staff and keep donors safe.
    • Sanitize and disinfect donor areas as needed.
