Meals on Wheels of Cumberland County- Delivering Meals and Much More

Meals on Wheels of Cumberland County needs volunteers to deliver meals to homebound older adults, who are unable to cook a meal and have no one else able to do it for them. While delivering the meal is the primary purpose of the program, you will be delivering so much more. You will also be making a social connection to help break the isolation and loneliness many seniors experience (you may be the only smiling face our clients see that day), plus you will providing an informal wellness check for a very vulnerable population, alerting our staff to any concerning issues about the client you may notice. Volunteers 18 years of age and older are needed to deliver meals for one of our many routes throughout all of Cumberland County, but we will assign you to one of our routes in a particular area, if you have a preference. Meals are generally delivered Monday-Friday during the hours of 11:00AM-1:00PM. Routes are small enough to be ran within about an hour. You can be scheduled to deliver every day if you wish, or as often as your schedule allows.
