    Description

Atlantic Biomarker Access Program funds next-generation sequencing (NGS) biomarker testing for patients who cannot afford it — and we're looking for driven, organized volunteers to help build the corporate sponsor relationships that make this possible.

This is a flexible, remote role suited to individuals with a background in business development, fundraising, nonprofit growth, or strategic communications. Volunteers work directly with the Foundation's Board of Directors.

    Responsibilities

Volunteers will work directly with the Foundation's Board of Directors to build and manage a structured outreach pipeline. Responsibilities may include:

    • Building and maintaining a corporate prospect list
    • Conducting outreach to potential sponsors and partners
    • Drafting and sending professional communications on behalf of the Executive Director
    • Scheduling and confirming virtual meetings with prospective sponsors
    • Managing follow-ups and sponsorship package delivery
    • Tracking outreach activity and pipeline progress, with weekly status reporting

    What We're Looking For

    • Background in sales, business development, fundraising, or account management
    • Comfortable with cold outreach and professional follow-up
    • Excellent written communication skills
    • Organized, self-directed, and consistent — this role requires weekly commitment
    • Passion for the mission is a strong asset

    What You'll Gain

    • Real business development experience with a growing national health charity
    • Direct mentorship from the Founder and Board of Directors
    • Reference letter upon successful completion
    • Academic credit (where applicable)
    • The knowledge that your work directly funds cancer patients' access to life-changing diagnostic testing
