Community Lawyers, Inc. is a legal non-profit that offers free legal resources and monthly clinics in Immigration, Family Law, Tenants Rights, and Special Education. We are seeking 4-6 dedicated students in undergraduate, paralegal or law school programs to join our team for a 10 week volunteer based Spring Internship.
This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the legal field while contributing to impactful projects in Special Education, Immigration, and our other service areas. Interns will also have the opportunity to work directly with our staff and volunteer attorneys. By the conclusion of the internship period, interns will understand the core components of community lawyering including working with clients, court and hearing systems, document review and preparation, legal research using legal databases, case preparation, document management and storage, and case review.
Selected candidates will have connection, lived experience, or strong commitment to the communities served by CLI along with capacity to communicate orally and in writing in at least one language in addition to English. Applicants should submit their resume and cover letter to our Program Director, Miss Cameron Parker by January 5th .
