Pasadena Elementary Classroom Volunteer
Details
Description
The Buddhist Tzu Chi Education Foundation is seeking volunteers to support elementary students at our partner schools in Pasadena. As part of our ongoing educational outreach, volunteers will assist students and teachers in Kindergarten through 5th-grade classrooms and help create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
Volunteers may assist students with reading, math, and other classroom activities, provide one-on-one or small-group support, help teachers prepare and organize learning materials, and assist with other classroom needs. Specific responsibilities may vary depending on the grade level, classroom, and needs of the school.
This opportunity is especially suitable for college students, young adults, or community members interested in education, child development, youth development, or future teaching careers. For those considering becoming teachers, volunteering provides an opportunity to gain firsthand experience in elementary classrooms, observe how teachers work with students, and develop experience communicating and engaging with children.
We are currently building a volunteer pool and welcome volunteers who may be available regularly or based on school needs.
