    Description

Be someone's eyes! Help read for a person with vision loss!

Volunteer as a Reader with Vision Loss Resources. You can help someone live independently by sharing your time and sharing your eyes!

Readers work with a blind or visually impaired partner on a regular basis --usually 1-2 hours every other week. You’ll read mail, letters, newspapers, or other household paperwork. You may also help with projects like writing thank you notes, organizing files or filling out checks. This is a social connection: by sharing your time, you can make a direct connection with someone and make a big difference in their life.

It’s easy -- we’ll provide the orientation, training, and ongoing support you need. Scheduling is flexible. Clients live throughout the metro area, so we'll work with you to find a client near you.

Contact Vision Loss Resources to learn more about this great opportunity: (612) 843-3419 or volunteer@vlrw.org.
