    Description

    Bereavement Volunteer

    Help Bereavement Coordinator by placing bereavement calls to the surviving family members of patients who have died to provide information on bereavement support groups. Additionally, identify (with input and direction of the Bereavement Coordinator) bereaved individuals needing home visits or phone calls from the bereavement staff.

    Personal Qualities:

    Someone who is:

      able to provide emotional/psychological support

        understanding of loss, grief and bereavement and how grief impacts on individuals.

          patient, kind and a good listener.

            able to show respect, empathy, genuineness.

              has a good level of self-awareness
