Grievia is a global movement dedicated to changing how grief is understood, supported, and held. Through thoughtful storytelling, reflection, and design, we create space for honest conversations around loss, care, and connection.

    About the Role

As the Director of Programmes, you will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of Grievia’s programmes, ensuring they are impactful, evidence-informed, and aligned with our mission.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead the design, planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of Grievia's programmes.
    • Develop programme strategies that align with the organization's mission, vision, and long-term goals.
    • Establish frameworks for monitoring, evaluation, and impact measurement to assess programme effectiveness.
    • Oversee programme timelines, deliverables, budgets, and resource allocation where applicable.
    • Supervise, mentor, and support programme managers and volunteers to achieve high-quality outcomes.
    • Collaborate with other departments to deliver integrated initiatives.
    • Prepare programme reports, impact summaries, and recommendations for organizational leadership.

    Who This Role Is For

    • Prior experience (2+ years preferred) in programme management, project management, nonprofit operations, community development, or a related leadership role.
    • Experience leading teams, coordinating cross-functional projects, and managing multiple priorities.
    • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Passion for social impact, mental health, grief literacy, and building compassionate communities.
    • Comfortable working independently in a remote, multicultural, and mission-driven environment.
    • Ability to provide a commitment of at least 10 hours per week for the role.

    Why Join Grievia

    • Contribute to a global movement reshaping conversations around grief and connection.
    • Gain leadership experience in programme strategy, implementation, and impact evaluation.
