    Description

    Volunteers are the heart of hospice care

    Direct Patient Volunteer

    • Listening to the concerns of a patient
    • Playing games, listening to music and reading
    • Providing transportation or running errands for patients
    • Serving as an interpreter
    • Providing breaks to family caregivers

    Office Volunteer

    • Filing, data entry
    • Assisting office staff with tasks

    Home Based Volunteer

    • Phone Calls to patients to see if they their needs are being met or if there are any concerns
