    Description

Volunteers needed for Girls on the Run of Greater Sacramento's 5K!

Girls on the Run has fun, evidence-based programs that inspire participants to recognize their inner strength, increase their level of physical activity, imagine their possibilities, and confidently stand up for themselves and others.

Each season comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! Everyone in our program receives a commemorative medal to celebrate this incredible achievement.

This year's 5K will take place on Saturday, May 9 at 9am sharp, but the fun begins at 7:30 with fun booths for the whole family to enjoy! We are back at William Land Park again this year. Volunteer opportunities include water station, set up, booths such as face painting, cheer sign making and more, cheer squad and more!
