Volunteer Opportunity: Friendly Companion Volunteer
Location: Portland/Gresham Area, OR

Volunteer Role: Companion Volunteer
We are seeking a compassionate volunteer to provide companionship and social connection for an older adult who would benefit from regular visits and meaningful conversation.
This participant enjoys music and has shared an interest in playing the trumpet. They would benefit from a volunteer who enjoys conversation, listening, and building a supportive friendship.
Volunteer Activities May Include:
- Engaging in friendly conversation
- Sharing interests related to music and life experiences
- Providing companionship and social connection
- Participating in simple recreational activities
- Offering a consistent and supportive presence
Volunteer Qualifications:
- Friendly, patient, and dependable
- Comfortable building relationships with older adults
- Able to commit to regular in-person visits
- Complete Providence volunteer onboarding requirements
