Description
Kwacha Kum’mawa is seeking three innovative local or international volunteers to support underserved partner schools in Zambia through technology-enabled learning, staff development, mentorship, and proposal support.
Many partner schools currently have limited or no access to computers and digital learning tools. We are therefore looking for volunteers with practical ideas, initiative, and problem-solving skills to help schools begin developing sustainable technology-supported learning environments.
Volunteers may assist schools in exploring affordable and realistic solutions such as:
- sourcing computers, tablets, and phones,
- identifying offline educational resources,
- supporting digital literacy,
- strengthening fundraising systems, and
- helping schools prepare proposals and documentation for funding opportunities.
Placement Locations
📍 Lundazi District – 1 Volunteer
Upward Bound Christian Academy – a rural primary and secondary school located approximately 180km from Chipata.
📍 Chipata City – 1 Volunteer
Partner schools include:
- Trinity Academy
- Hebron Christian School
- Shekinah School
📍 Rufunsa/Lusaka – 1 Volunteer
Missions of Hope and St Mary’s Secondary School – community-focused schools supporting vulnerable learners.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Supporting technology-enabled learning initiatives
- Conducting staff workshops and digital literacy training
- Assessing school needs and opportunities
- Assisting with proposal writing and fundraising systems
- Gathering documentation and evidence for donor support
- Exploring low-cost offline learning solutions
- Supporting mentorship and school development activities

- Volunteers are encouraged to bring practical, low-cost ideas suitable for low-resource environments.
