    Description

Hospice Volunteers are valuable members of our Interdisciplinary Hospice Care Team, and can make a difference in the lives of our patients and families/caregivers.

As a Volunteer, your responsibilities can include:

    • Friendly visits to our patients and their families/caregivers
    • Provide Respite/Relief care for our families/caregivers

Volunteer hours are flexible. You will work directly with the Volunteer Coordinator to find a schedule that meets your availability and also meets the identified needs of our patients and their families/caregivers.

We suggest prospective volunteers wait a minimum of one year after the passing of a loved one to volunteer with us. This waiting period will allow healing time and, if necessary, allow any adjustments to be made after such a significant loss.

We require Background checks, Drug Screening, and Fingerprint Screening prior to beginning to Volunteer.

There is a required Orientation and On-Boarding process where you will learn about our Hospice Philosophy, your role and responsibilities as a Volunteer, and other information that will help you have the skills you need.
