About A&N Career Services Project
A&N Career Services Project is a workforce and career-readiness initiative focused on expanding access to opportunity for individuals navigating career transitions, workforce re-entry, and professional growth. As the Project grows across locations, cultivating a structured, supportive, and energizing volunteer experience is essential to sustaining impact.
Volunteers joining at this stage will help shape not only the work itself, but the culture and community that define how people experience the Project.
Role Overview
The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator supports the ongoing connection, morale, and retention of volunteers throughout the 12-week cohort experience.
This role collaborates with the Volunteer Experience & Onboarding Manager and works in close collaboration with the Recruiter & Engagement Lead to ensure a smooth and engaging experience from recruitment through offboarding.
While onboarding establishes structure, this role ensures volunteers remain connected, motivated, and recognized throughout their engagement. The Volunteer Engagement Coordinator plays a key role in fostering a positive cohort environment and maintaining continuity across the volunteer lifecycle.
As participation levels naturally fluctuate within a cohort model, this role helps monitor engagement, identify opportunities for additional support, and implement thoughtful touchpoints that reinforce commitment and community.
Volunteer Engagement Format
This is a virtual-first role. Core responsibilities can be completed remotely using shared tools, chat channels, and virtual meetings.
Engagement strategies must be inclusive of volunteers across multiple time zones and adaptable to varying schedules and levels of availability.
Optional in-person engagement may occur in Atlanta, GA when aligned with the nature of the activity or to participate in A&N sponsored events, though location is not a requirement for meaningful contribution.
