Description
PPSC RSP is seeking attorneys who are willing to provide pro bono services to support asylum seekers with the asylum application process and immigration process
PPSC RSP will pair volunteer attorneys with mental health professionals and translators, as required, to support them with affidavits and psychological evaluations associated with the asylum-seeking process.
Volunteer skills required include, but are not limited to:
- Full understanding and knowledge of asylum-seeking and US immigration processes
- Clear communication skills explaining the process to asylum-seekers and clinicians
- Attention to detail assisting with preparing statements; providing testimony that is clear, accurate, and consistent
- Document review, edits
- Act as consultant, advisor, helper
- JD preferred; law students with asylum experience may be considered
