    Description:

Make Movies. Mentor Youth. Change the World.

Global Film Alliance (GFA) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the next generation of storytellers through hands-on film education. We are seeking passionate volunteers to join our 2026 Youth Summer Film Camp — a two-session program serving youth ages 6–17 in the Los Angeles area.

Campers will write, direct, act, shoot, and edit their own short films using professional-grade equipment from Blackmagic Design and Panavision, while also exploring AI filmmaking tools to prepare them for the future of creative media.

    🗓 Camp Sessions:

    • Session 1: June 15 – 27, 2026
    • Session 2: July 20 – August 1, 2026
    • Approximately 6 hours/day, Monday through Friday

    🙋 Volunteer Roles Available:

① Film Production Assistant Help youth operate cameras, lighting, and sound equipment. Filmmaking experience is a plus, but enthusiasm to learn is all you need!

② Screenwriting & Story Coach Guide young filmmakers in developing their ideas into full scripts. Creative writing or storytelling experience is welcome.

③ Video Editing Mentor Support students in editing their footage using Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve. Prior editing experience preferred.

④ AI Tools Facilitator Introduce students to AI-powered creative tools for filmmaking. Interest in technology and education required.

⑤ Camp Counselor / Youth Mentor Support daily camp activities, supervise students, and help create a safe and positive learning environment. No film experience needed — just a genuine love for working with youth!

    ✅ Requirements:

    • Must be 18 years or older
    • Reliable, responsible, and punctual
    • Passion for youth development and/or the arts
    • Available for at least one full session (2 consecutive weeks)
    • Background check may be required

    🎁 What You'll Gain:

    • Hands-on experience with professional Hollywood-grade film equipment
    • Official GFA Volunteer Service Certificate
    • Volunteer hours letter upon request
    • Networking opportunities with film industry professionals and partners
    • The unforgettable experience of watching a young person discover their creative voice

    About Global Film Alliance:
