    Description

    Administrative Volunteer (Telephone Outreach)

Azul Hospice is seeking reliable, compassionate volunteers to assist with non-clinical telephone outreach to hospice patients and/or caregivers. This role helps maintain connection, identify needs, and support our care team — all from the comfort of your home.

This position is ideal for volunteers who are comfortable on the phone, organized, and interested in supporting hospice care behind the scenes.

    What You’ll Do

As a Remote Administrative Volunteer, you may:

    • Make scheduled, friendly check-in calls to hospice patients or caregivers
    • Follow approved call scripts or guidelines provided by Azul Hospice
    • Confirm basic information such as preferred contact times or satisfaction with services
    • Offer emotional support through attentive listening (not counseling)
    • Document call outcomes and observations according to hospice procedures
    • Report concerns, questions, or changes to the volunteer coordinator or care team
    • Support the hospice mission by helping patients feel remembered and valued

Volunteers do not provide medical advice, clinical assessments, or care instructions.

    Who We’re Looking For

You may be a great fit if you:

    • Are warm, professional, and comfortable speaking on the phone
    • Have strong listening and communication skills
    • Can follow confidentiality and documentation guidelines
    • Are dependable and able to maintain scheduled call times
    • Are comfortable using basic technology (phone, email, simple documentation tools)
    • Are at least 18 years old

    Why Volunteer with Azul Hospice?

Volunteering with us is profoundly rewarding—you’ll make a real difference in someone’s life while gaining a sense of purpose and connection. Many volunteers share that these visits bring as much joy to them as to the patients. You’ll join a supportive team that values your contribution and provides ongoing guidance.

    How to Apply:
