    Company Description:

    SelfSoulLiberate is a nonprofit organization dedicated to achieving health equity and reducing stigma surrounding mental health in under-resourced communities. Our mission is to provide educational resources, develop sustainable wellness frameworks, and make care more accessible.

    Role Description:

    We are seeking compassionate and committed Mentors to support participants in our structured mentorship program. This volunteer role focuses on building supportive, goal-oriented relationships and contributing to a positive, engaging mentorship experience.

    This is a 9–12 month minimum commitment, with the opportunity to renew.

    Mentors play a vital role in guiding participants through regular check-ins, shared learning, and personal development over the course of the program cycle.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide consistent, supportive mentorship to assigned participant(s) throughout the program.
    • Participate in regular one-on-one or small-group mentorship sessions as scheduled.
    • Support mentees in setting goals, building skills, and navigating challenges.
    • Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment during all mentorship interactions.
    • Maintain clear and timely communication with participants and program leadership.
    • Document session participation and engagement as required.
    • Attend periodic mentor check-ins, trainings, or program meetings.
    • For the on-call Mentor: provide flexible coverage support when additional mentor capacity is needed.

    Qualifications:

    • Required languages: Fluency in English OR English + Spanish
    • Strong interpersonal, active listening, and communication skills.
    • Ability to commit reliably to scheduled mentorship sessions.
    • Comfort working within program guidelines and maintaining confidentiality.
    • Prior mentorship, coaching, or volunteer experience is an asset but not required.
    • Genuine interest in mental health, personal development, and community support.
