Chef at Community Meal
Initiative: Beyond the Basics

Location: Hartford, CT
Hours: Thursdays, 10:00am-3:00pm; Fridays, 3:00-6:00pm
Desired level of commitment: At least twice per month
Duration: Year-round
Age requirement: 18+
Tasks may include:
- Leading the provision of a meal for 100 people with provided ingredients
- Prepping, cooking and serving a meal
In order to volunteer you should be:
- A registered UAServe volunteer (you will have a chance to register if you haven't already)
- Willing to attend an orientation and training prior to volunteering
- Willing to submit a background check
- Open to an ongoing volunteer opportunity that works with your schedule
- Willing to assist another chef three times prior to serving as a chef
- An experienced cook or chef
- Willing to take initiative
- Personable
- Reliable
- Honest
- Patient
