    About Common Hope

    Common Hope works to promote hope and opportunity in Guatemala through education, health care, housing, and family development programs. Through our sponsorship program, donors build meaningful relationships with children, youth, and families participating in our programs.

    Volunteer Opportunity

    Common Hope is seeking a detail-oriented volunteer to support our Sponsorship Team in St. Paul, Minnesota. This opportunity is ideal for someone who would like to contribute their time and talents to a mission-driven organization while supportin meaningful connections between sponsors and families in Guatemala.

    This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity designed to support Common Hope's mission. Volunteers will receive orientation, supervision, and recognition for their contribution to the organization.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist staff with organizing and preparing sponsorship correspondence.
    • Support administrative projects, including data review and document organization.
    • Help organize sponsorship materials and files.
    • Assist with mailings and other office-related projects.
    • Provide general administrative assistance to the Sponsorship Team.

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
    • Ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
    • Strong written communication skills.
    • Interest in nonprofit organizations and international development.
    • Spanish language skills are helpful, but not required.

    Schedule

    This volunteer opportunity requires approximately 4 hours per day, 2–3 days per week, for a period of about two months. Scheduling is flexible and will be coordinated with the selected volunteer.
