Volunteer Unit Turnover Project Leaders

Bridges to Housing Stability is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, serving Howard County, MD. Bridges believes that housing is the key to a household’s stability. Whether resolving the issue of homelessness or preventing a household from becoming homeless, our goal goes beyond crisis intervention – our approach and mission focuses on long term housing stability for our target populations.

One of our flagship programs, Alliance, provides affordable rental housing for households that earn low to moderate incomes. Today the program owns or operates 61 rental homes in the County. Tenant leases are for one year and are renewable.

When tenants move out of Alliance units the spaces need a little TLC. Unit turnover projects can range from as little as basic spackle and painting to bigger projects like new tiling. Each project is offered to volunteers; volunteers are not required to take on every project.

We are looking for volunteer project leaders with relevant experience (handiwork, home maintenance, painting, renovations) and who are ready to lead volunteer groups. Leaders can either come with an already formed group of volunteers under them or come ready to be assigned volunteers.
