    Description

    Board Seat Opening: Marketing Director

Volunteer Board Position: Director of Marketing (Hands-On Leadership)

Time Commitment: Approximately 4–8 hours per month as an active volunteer Board Member. While this is a strategic leadership role, we are seeking someone who enjoys contributing hands-on to key marketing initiatives.

The National Dental Advocacy Program (NDAP) is experiencing more than 200% organizational growth as we rapidly expand our programs, partnerships, and national impact—and we're just getting started. As our reach continues to grow, we're seeking a strategic marketing leader who is passionate about purpose-driven work and excited to help shape the future of a fast-growing nonprofit.

This is not a passive advisory position. We're looking for a hands-on volunteer board leader who enjoys creating, writing, organizing, and bringing ideas to life. You'll play a key role in defining NDAP's brand, strengthening our messaging, and ensuring our mission resonates with patients, donors, corporate partners, grant funders, volunteers, and the communities we serve.

    What You'll Do

    • Lead Brand Strategy: Develop and maintain NDAP's brand voice, messaging framework, style guide, and visual identity to ensure consistency across all communications.
    • Craft Compelling Narratives: Translate complex healthcare and advocacy initiatives into compelling stories for grant proposals, donor presentations, fundraising campaigns, and public outreach.
    • Strengthen Donor & Partner Recognition: Design and manage sponsorship recognition standards, donor acknowledgment materials, and partner branding integration across marketing collateral.
    • Drive Hands-On Marketing Execution: Take an active role in developing messaging for key initiatives, including NDAP's Senior Outreach Project and other high-impact campaigns. This is a working leadership position where you'll help create—not simply oversee—content.
    • Manage Google Ad Grants: Oversee NDAP's Google Ad Grants program to maximize awareness, increase website traffic, and support donor, volunteer, and partner engagement.
    • Lead the Marketing Committee: Provide direction, mentorship, and structure for marketing volunteers by assigning projects, setting priorities, and fostering collaboration.

    We're Looking For Someone Who

    • Has experience in marketing, branding, communications, public relations, or a related field.
    • Is a strategic thinker who also enjoys executing and bringing ideas to life.
    • Has strong writing and storytelling skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts into compelling messages.
    • Has experience with nonprofit marketing, fundraising communications, or mission-driven organizations (preferred but not required).
    • Is a collaborative leader who is organized, proactive, and passionate about making a meaningful impact.

    Why Join NDAP?

As a volunteer member of NDAP's Board of Directors, you'll help shape the voice of one of the nation's fastest-growing dental advocacy organizations. Your leadership will directly influence how our mission is communicated, helping us expand our reach, strengthen community partnerships, attract supporters, and improve access to oral healthcare through advocacy, education, and patient empowerment.

Time Commitment: Approximately 4–8 hours per month, including occasional board meetings and hands-on marketing collaboration.

If you're passionate about using marketing to drive meaningful change, we'd love to have you join our leadership team.
