Deliver Joy (and Cake!) to Hospice Patients

Do you have a reliable form of transportation, current car insurance, and a caring heart? Then you could be a great fit for our volunteer cake delivery driver! Since our hospice patients are often celebrating their last birthday, wedding anniversary, etc., we like to make that a happy day by delivering a small cake along with kind words and well wishes. You could be the one to pick up those cakes and deliver them to grateful patients and families in their homes. We see patients all over the tri-county area, but if you want to stay in a more narrow delivery area, you could still be a big help! Volunteers are vital to the mission of Interim Hospice - offering whole-person-centered care to those facing life-limiting illness and their families. If you don't have experience with hospice or know the "right" thing to say, don't worry! The most important thing is to be there for them out of the goodness of your heart. It means so much to those we serve!

Volunteers will be thoroughly trained with a hospice volunteer orientation and a chance to have all your questions addressed. We would love to have you join our hospice team!
