    Position Overview:

    Project C.U.R.E. is looking for inventive, highly motivated interns to gain hands on experience and assist in sorting, testing, and packing biomedical equipment. Biomedical Engineering Interns are responsible for supporting the Operations team to prepare biomedical equipment and consumables for shipment. Project C.U.R.E. delivers over 200 shipping containers each year of medical supplies and equipment around the world to strengthen health systems across the globe.

    Responsibilities:

    The Biomedical Engineering Intern’s role includes to:

    • Prioritize and identify incoming biomedical equipment donations.
    • Research and organize biomedical consumables to be packed and matched with units.
    • Test, certify, and inventory equipment for shipment.
    • Manage inventory and coordinate with Operations Director to prepare equipment for outgoing loads.

    Project C.U.R.E.'s Internship Program provides students the opportunity to learn about global healthcare, the non-profit sector, and biomedical equipment while gaining hands-on experience.

    This is an in-person internship on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 9am-3pm. 

    Qualifications:

    • Must be able to set and accomplish goals; is a "self-starter" who is internally motivated and does not require significant supervision.
    • Has an attitude of openness, is eager to learn new things, and does not get stuck in a repetitive pattern of doing the same things the same way for too long.
    • Preferred candidates are pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering.
