Grant Strategy Volunteer/Fundraising Manager

Remote project (NYC-based candidates encouraged) — Approx 4-6 weeks

Stoop Stories connects New York City neighbors across generations and differences to reduce loneliness and increase compassion and joy. Through documentary stories and community events, we celebrate stoop culture and highlight underrepresented communities.

Who we're looking for: A skilled, organized volunteer to help us build a clear, practical strategy for pursuing grant funding. This project will focus on defining priorities, identifying the right opportunities, and creating a simple system to manage our grant pipeline. If you love setting organizations up for sustainable growth, we'd love your help.

The ideal candidate has:

• Grant strategy and/or nonprofit development experience
• Strong knowledge of the funding landscape and research skills to match
• Organizational and systems-thinking skills

Project Scope & Deliverables:

• Review our existing list of grant opportunities and help target and prioritize the best fits for our capacity and goals
• Develop a focused grant strategy summary (2-3 pages or equivalent)
• Recommend how to allocate time and resources across opportunities
• Set up a simple grant tracking tool/template (e.g., Excel, Monday.com, or Salesforce)
• Create a grants calendar with key deadlines and and workflow guidance
