    Pet Therapy Volunteers

    The comfort of a dog's wagging tail is the best medicine for patients with Alzheimer's and dementia related illnesses. Looking for four legged volunteers to make friendly pet therapy visits with hospice patients in Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Medina, Portage, Trumbull and Summit Counties. Humans required to complete volunteer application, background check, TB and training-provided FREE of charge. Canines required to provide dog's license, shot records and Pet Partners, TDI certification or other accredited organization.     Volunteers required to participate in online volunteer training with Sanctuary Hospice, complete DocuSign application and forms and required TB, Drug and background screenings. All of this is provided FREE of charge by Sanctuary Hospice.
