    We are looking for 120 volunteers to help us make this event a success! As a volunteer, you can connect with our members and other arts & culture professionals and enjoy the cultural performances that are part of the program.

    Description

    World Dumpling Fest 2026

    Join the Chicago Cultural Alliance in celebrating Chicago's diverse cultural communities through music, dance, and DUMPLINGS! World Dumpling Fest is a fundraiser held to support the work of the Chicago Cultural Alliance. Visitors can sample dumplings from over a dozen neighborhood-based ethnic restaurants in and around Chicago to experience the diversity of Chicago. Located in the Wrightwood neighborhood, this one-of a-kind event will feature cultural performances, live music, drinks, and dumplings. Job Description includes:

    Gate Staff

    • Positioned near the entrance to welcome visitors / solicit optional entry donations.
    • Provide general info on the event and direct visitors to ticketing for food tickets.

    Ticketing

    • Scan/check in presale tickets for entry and run sales for on-site ticket purchases.
    • Hand out map/event information and performance schedule.

    Bar Staff

    • Run cash sales for all beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverage purchases.
    • VOLUNTEERS MUST BE 21 YRS OR OLDER FOR THIS ROLE

    Stage Manager

    • Assist with checking in performers, setting up the stage, and transitioning stage set-up between each performance.

    General Crowd Assistance

    • This is a more flexible role that will involve helping with managing lines for the vendors, distributing event info, and other miscellaneous tasks.

    Kids Activity Assistance

    • This is a more flexible role that will involve helping with managing kids during the Kohl’s Children Museum area.

    Getting to Wrightwood Park (2534 N. Greenview Ave)

    • Driving: Take I-90/I-94 (Kennedy Expressway) and exit at Fullerton Avenue. Head east on Fullerton Avenue, turn left (north) onto Southport Avenue or Ashland Avenue, and then turn right onto N. Wrightwood Ave to reach Greenview Ave.
    • Public Transit: Use the CTA Red, Brown, or Purple lines to get off at the Fullerton Station, then take a short bus or rideshare/walk west/north toward Greenview.
