    Description

We are a unique thriving senior residence in Berkeley California, established in 1960 and we are in a pivotal point in our history. In the next year, we have an opportunity to exercise an option to buy back our building. In a 2014 transaction that enabled us to retrofit and refurbish the building, the Board of Trustees sold the property to an LP, a partnership of tax credit investors, and our present management company. We are seeking individuals for our Board who have a background in law, finance, public health, project management, building engineers or contractors.

Our board meets on the second Tuesday of the odd months at 5 o’clock, usually for two hours. In addition to the board meetings, there are meetings of our various committees: executive, health and wellness, vacancy, finance, buyback, and governance. We do have directors’ and officers’ liability insurance.
