Through peer-to-peer learning, students engage in projects that explore fairness, bias, and responsibility in technology, transforming their creative work into educational resources for global peers. Our mission is to foster youth leadership in shaping a more ethical and inclusive digital future.
About the Role
We are seeking Volunteer Founding Chapter Leads to help expand EthicWise AI into new communities across the United States and around the world. This is a leadership opportunity for motivated students, educators, parents, and community members who are passionate about youth empowerment, education, and responsible AI.
Responsibilities
- Help launch and grow an EthicWise AI chapter in your local community.
- Build awareness of EthicWise AI among students, schools, educators, libraries, nonprofits, and community organizations.
- Recruit and support local volunteers and student participants.
- Organize local or virtual chapter activities such as workshops, discussions, awareness campaigns, creative projects, and youth engagement events.
- Help adapt EthicWise AI programs and outreach to fit local community needs.
- Collaborate with EthicWise AI’s central team on chapter goals, communication, and program planning.
- Share updates on chapter progress, ideas, and local needs.
- Represent EthicWise AI in a professional, inclusive, and mission-aligned way.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in AI ethics, education, youth leadership, or community impact.
- Leadership potential and initiative.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Organized, responsible, and able to work independently.
- Excited to build something new and help grow EthicWise AI in your area.
- Experience in student leadership, outreach, nonprofit work, education, or community service is a plus but not required.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be 16 years or older to apply independently.
- Applicants under 16 are welcome to apply only if a parent or guardian is willing to volunteer alongside them and support chapter activities.
- Applicants may be students, educators, parents, or other community members who are passionate about ethical AI and youth education.
Time commitment & benefits
- Time: Remote, flexible, and at least 6 month commitment.
- Leadership experience: Gain hands-on experience launching and leading a local chapter of an international youth-centered nonprofit.
